Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain
Ibiza is simultaneously one of Europe's most beautiful Mediterranean islands and its most legendary nightlife destination. The club circuit — Amnesia, Ushuaïa, DC-10, Pacha — draws the world's top DJs every summer. But away from the party infrastructure, Ibiza has extraordinary beaches, UNESCO-listed fortifications, and a rural interior of pine forests and fincas that remain completely unaffected by the clubs.

Travel tips for Ibiza
Rent a car (from €35/day) for the only practical way to reach the best beaches. Scooters (€30/day) work well for shorter distances. Traffic on the San Antonio road is gridlocked July–August from 10pm onwards.
Club entry costs €40–€80 per person for world-class DJs. Buy tickets online in advance — door prices are higher and some events sell out. Check Resident Advisor for the full summer programme.
Cala d'Hort restaurant El Carmen has the best paella on the island with Es Vedrà in the frame. Book a week ahead for a sunset table.
The Dalt Vila is most magical in the early morning (7–9am) before tour groups arrive. The Cathedral terrace has free access and the views are extraordinary.
Formentera island (30-min ferry from Ibiza port, €25 return) has the Caribbean-clear water that most people imagine Ibiza having — visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday when day-trippers are fewer.
