Travel tips for Agra
Buy Taj Mahal tickets online at asitajmahal.com to skip the queue — entrance + monument fee is separate.
Arrive at Taj gate by 6 AM for sunrise — the monument opens at sunrise and closes at sunset (Friday closed).
Mehtab Bagh across the river is uncrowded and offers stunning sunset views of the Taj silhouette.
Hire an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) certified guide at the main gate — unofficial guides spread myths.
Petha from Panchhi Petha (near Agra Cantt) is the authentic version — avoid tourist-area imitations.
